The rock house of coffee. Serving legit single estate beans, the Evil twin brand is a well rounded cup waiting the be experienced. In typical rock style this is a no-fuss and clear cut experience. The americano is indeed the ideal cleanser before heading to the house beers. And you might just get some expert advice to fix your bike from one of the friendly regulars.
I love The House of Machines (Thom) and am an avid fan of the old fashioned, the knobs' creek bourbon and the live music! The staff is helpful and love the art of making the cocktails... Believe it or not - their coffee is amazing! Somewhere else it's been said they are the best in Cape Town - and their flat whites are too die for... The chicken sandwich is divine, whereas the breakfasts are nice - but I wouldn't say they are known for that!

Their coffee has ruined me for all other coffee. So delicious!

Rather than flocking to the same ol' breakfast spots, we tried 'Street Brunch Sunday', a collaboration between The House of Machines and El Burro. Relaxed vibe sitting outside on quiet Shortmarket street and the most delicious breakfast burrito and fresh juice - will definitely be back

On the strong side, Coffee, vibe, location. On the weak side, Food, almost trying too hard to be a hipster place.
