Beautifully situated in the icon Moullie point. Moullie was once only associated with its surreal ocean views and landmark lighthouse but now is associated with one of the best steakhouses which is Hussar Grill. With over 50 years of grill house wizardry the pair complement each other perfectly. Its loyal dinners flock to the grill house for its superior quality of meat and great service.

If steak you have a passion for well-cooked steaks and classic grill room feel then Hussar Grill is definitely a place where one will not be disappointed. When at a grill room order steaks, they say but rest assure there is a lot more than just steaks on offer like the Mussel Pot that is truly delicious. The mussels are cooked beautifully and plump, finished in a green herb, wine reduction, light cream based sauce. Each ingredient complement each other well and each spoonful makes you wanting more. Enjoying a dinning with theatrics is always a pleasure is the Chateaubriand a good choice. A well-aged fillet served with a classically prepared béarnaise sauce on the side and for the extreme dining theatrics brandy is flambéed add a defined smoky burned taste to the fillet with the flambéed brandy aroma adding to the anesthetics of the dining experience. The meal includes a starch but the onion rings and creamed spinach and cinnamon infused butternut is surely something to consider. Hussar Grill also offers a good selection of poultry and seafood. The best way to compliment or end the dining experience is with dessert and the Hussar Grill Ice Cream dessert is it. This dessert has become just a popular as the steaks. The Hussar Grill Ice Cream Dessert is a well-constructed dessert that has extravagant written all over it being a combination of ice cream, peanut brittle, marshmallow, nougat, honeycomb, sprinkled nuts finished with a proper drizzle of the signature chocolate sauce. Yes, this is surely more is better as the waiter will happily remind you.

The wine menu is well presented and easy to read for the novice wine drinker to wine connoisseur. It’s very informative and offers suitable wine parings as well as what regions the wines originate. The wine list has a good selection of white wines, red wines and sparkling/MCC available of which a selection of these wines could be enjoyed by the glass. Hussar Grill also has good selection of spirits & beers local and international.

With that true classic grill room feel Hussar Grill offers a comfortable atmosphere. With a relaxed setting one is sure to have an excellent dining experience.

I love this place. It is cozy and unpretentious, the food is always amazing and the staff is great. Their chocolate vodka shot is a sweet ending to a perfect meal.
You won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for a good steak
Went for the first time last week. We sat on the balcony on a perfect day, very pleasant. Service was quick and accurate. I had the hog ribs, which were generous and perfectly cooked.
Had a lovely meal with family on 25th February. Very attentive waiter. Only scored down on the service because he forgot the side salads and the chips my husband ordered which we had to remind him of after our food had arrived and we had started eating. The meat was outstanding as always. Two of us had ribs, one had a chateau brand and one had a fillet with an excellent mushroom sauce. We took our own wine and the only strange thing was that if you don"t finish your own wine, you can't take it home with you. You need to leave it at the restaurant!! Apparently there are new liquor laws.... As two of the party of four didn't drink, and my husband and I only had one glass each, there was left over in the bottle. Not much but enough to want to take home and maybe have a drink at home.
Casual but classy and excellent service - our waiter was very well prepared and knowledgable about the food and wine list. The food did not disappoint - it was honestly the best steak we've had in Cape Town. Such a gem!
