Amazing restaurant! Ranging in spicy so you can get what’s right for you! The bean taco is delicious but beware the hot is quite spicy!!! The service was good and the restaurant was very busy which is always a good sign! Definitely a place to go again!

They serve incredibly delicious enchiladas. I highly recommend this spot for good Mexican food. The stacked chicken enchilada in particular is amazingly delicious.

So, my fiancé and i love Mexican food, or what we perceive to be Mexican food as up until the opening of Mama Mexicana and Perron, there were no real Mexican joints in Joburg. So we decided to head out to Mama Mexicana on a Wednesday evening and try out this Mexican cuisine that we so badly longed for. Much to my surprise, the was an Asian man behind the counter who also doubled up as the chef and that raised a flag for me. We proceeded to get a table for 2 and were waited on by one of the waitresses, not sure what her name was. She was really friendly and gave us ample time to discuss what we wanted. We started of with them Chilli Poppers and they were damn good, so it was on to the mains. I had a Chicken Burrito and my Fiancé had a chicken Chimichanga. While waiting for the food, i decided to have a chat with the owner/chef. He related how he started off and then came to SA and opened his Mexican restaurant with an Asian twist. The food arrived and it was really tasty. We devoured the food to say the least and although it was not your classical Mexican food, it was really really awesome. I would go back in a heart beat and we have both been raving about the place to our friends and family.

I have been looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant for the longest time ever and last night I found one! The food is amazing! I wanted everything but my stomach could only manage the Tostadas, Poppers and Tacos! All amazing! The margaritas are amazing too, I felt like I had left South Africa for a mini vacation. Great restaurant. Wonderful friendly staff. Stiff and yummy drinks and YUMMY food! I will definitely be back. LOVED :)
