Machiel and Jamandi Bekker, winners of MNet’s My Kitchen Rules season one, have joined forces with Petri Coertzen, co-owner of Bloem’s long-standing night spot Mystic Boer, to present a casual eatery and bar with a welcoming vibe. Set within a cosy, plant-scattered courtyard, it’s the perfect place for enjoying flavour-packed dishes under a starlit sky. Order the Korean-style chicken wings served with chilli and pineapple salsa, or the vegan-friendly cauliflower steak with savoury muesli, pickled mushrooms and watermelon red pepper jus. There’s a considered approach to plating here, and even the vast array of gin cocktails are good-looking.
