Taboulet & Co. is a Lebanese Organic cuisine which will operate mainly on delivery and pick-up as a snack shop. All the ingredients, food items, beverages are organic, and they have an offering of Beyond Meat ™ dishes and a focus on vegetarian dishes as well.
All dishes will display the details and benefits of each ingredient contained in them as well as calories and nutritional benefits, which have been researched and composed by our Lebanese Nutritionist, Miss Rita Aoun, who is a professional nutritionist who has a BS degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from University of Saint Esprit Kaslik (USEK) Lebanon, and a Master in Science from The American University of Beirut (AUB) majoring in Nutrition. She is presently practicing in Dubai.
As per the Lebanese breads we shall have three versions, the normal white pita, the brown pita and the gluten free pita as well as the Saj bread.
All the packaging will be recycled and will be sustainable so that Taboulet & Co. will have a very small Co2 emission impact and a green clean focus at all times.
Most of our spices will be imported directly from Lebanon so that the taste of the dishes will be 100% authentic. Taboulet & Co. wants to fill the gap not only as a new and missing culinary experience in Cape Town, but implement from day 1 a Healthy, Qualitative, Clean and Sustainable cuisine in its day-to-day operation.
With years of experience in the field of hospitality and F&B, Chef Ali comes directly from Lebanon to create and make Taboulet & Co’ clients enjoy our Lebanese Organic Culinary experience. Chef Ali was the GM of the Legendary and Successful boutique Hotel in Tyr Lebanon: “Les jardins de Tyr” which until 2019 before its closure due to the political situation in Lebanon received a compounded 9.1 rating from booking.com and the only Thumbs up in the country as well as a 4.8 on Google.
Taboulet & Co. will focus at delivering what it is aiming at and promising, so that hopefully in the months and years to come it can spread its wings across South Africa, neighboring countries and Internationally.
Chef Ali will mainly train and supervise the kitchen which will be headed by Chef Tashwin Simpson from South Africa with 10 years of experience in the F&B industry as well as our Sous Chef Mrs. Jill Engelbrecht also from South Africa with commending years of experience in the field. Both will be supported by a team of junior cook assistants to serve our customers.
