Sorry I want to change my star review for this restaurant to one star!! It was soooo awful!!
I was invited by my family and friends to celebrate my birthday dinner at this Indian restaurant close to me. What a disappointment!! The owner was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they got our order wrong and the food was tasteless! My friends said that I cook far better Indian food!! We were looking for aromatic flavours with depth and can pack a punch😢 Sadly it wasn’t there.
This will always be one of my absolute favorite places to eat. Prim has an amazing energy and is always friendly and inviting. The staff are extremely knowledgeable on the ingredients so if you have allergies or "special needs" requirements they advise you accordingly. The food is packed with flavor and always on top form. Best Indian Food in Cape Town and the ambience and energy just adds to the experience.
What a win! If you’re a lover, liker or even a ‘meh’er’ of Indian food... you HAVE to go give this gem of a restaurant a try. Extensive menu catering to all pallets and loads of options for vegetarians and pescatarians too! Chicken samosas to share as a starter - a meal in itself! Perfectly crispy shell crammed full of delicious minced chicken, potatoes - wonderfully spiced! Firey lamb vindaloo tames by delicious mango lassi. Lamb rogan josh was perfectly spiced with a lovely not-overly-thick sauce. Very tasty and aloo saag. Garlic and peshwari naan were wonderful! Topped off by excellent service, and the personal touch by Prim Reddy Chapter’s presence, and time spent chatting with EVERY patron. A perfect experience!
Last week myself and few friends decides to visit The Indian Chapter. Within minutes of our arrival our charming hostess and owner Prime Reddy had us laugh and forget about the day’s troubles. We were seated in the cosy “Second Chapter” where there was a fire going to keep us warm from the cold Cape Town weather. The friendly staff soon helped us to settle in with a glass of wine and getting our orders out while we continued our friendly chatter and laughter. We ordered several dishes to share amongst each other - the onion Bhajia and uniquely shaped Chicken samoosas is truly tasty and comes highly recommended. All the main dishes that was selected was flavourful and delicious - the one that stood out however was the Chicken Madras. In conclusion we all had such a wonderful night at The Indian Chapter and at the end it felt like dining at a friend’s home. Thank you Prim and staff for a memorable night, we will surely be back soon.
