I am a regular at Franks and literally live off their soups in winter and salads and chicken in summer. Their food is simply amazing!! Healthy, tasty and not too pricey. The staff are always welcoming and go out of their was to accommodate you. Jean Claude especially is a great example of why come back everyday! Thanks for the general day to day service, you know I will be back tomorrow for the Fragrant Thai Chicken Noodle Soup :)
I have been to this cafe twice, both times for breakfast. Although the food is good, it is the most unfriendly and unwelcoming establishment I have been to in Cape Town. On my first visit I managed, with some difficulty, to be served by surly staff. The second visit did not in fact entail eating. I went in, stood in front of the lady at the till, apparently the manager, who entirely ignored me while doing something on the counter. (I was the only person at the counter.) After about a minute she looked up and barked 'yes?' in a rude and angry manner. I was taken aback, but started ordering breakfast, but she quickly interrupted me to say they're not serving breakfast and continued her task. I left. The attitude was positively angry and hostile, as if I was offending someone by merely entering the establishment. I will not visit this cafe again.
What a fabulous find this gem of an eatery is. Being situated in Bree Street, it primarily serves business people. However, tourists who do not visit will lose out on succulent, lemony, mixed spice roasted chicken and the most original, fresh salads. These include beetroot, feta and sunflower seeds or a mixture of brown and white rice, mango and coconut shavings. Coleslaw is served with a light, home mayonaise. Franks Cafe also bottles their own piquant peri-peri. There are also a wealth of original sandwiches which can be served on authentic, boiled beigels amongst other breads. The capacino is excellent and be served regular or large. Craft beers and wines are also available. Orders are placed at the counter. Before the guest can decide on whether to sit at tall bar stools with high wooden tables outside or matching tables for four or communal tables on top of parquet flooring inside the waitstaff deliver good sized portions. Cafe Frank certainly fulfils their motto of slow food served fast! Pricing is also extremely reasonable witn a quarter chicken, 3 salads and Capacino costing R95. 00. An absolute must visit.

One of Cape Town's little food gems. Small, friendly, yummy food, healthy options and good coffee.

Good, wholesome fare, delicious juices, intense coffee and great location.
