Sundoo serves up the best Indian cuisine I've had in years. My friend had the prawn curry which was filled with the fattest, juiciest prawns, just bursting with flavor. I went with the lamb curry, cooked to perfection in all of it's traditional goodness and flavor. The friendly staff takes the service to next level and really topped off the experience. Best choice made going to Sundoo. Going back real soon.
Typically this would usually be a Sunday lunch dish for me, but, sitting on my sofa, I somehow craved some traditional Indian Lamb Akhni. Well, I live in the a Southern Suburbs and where else to go but take a drive to Sea Point and visit Sundoo, Regent Street, Sea Point. To be honest, this is probably the best Akhni one could have. I doubt I even had such an Akhni in the back streets of India. Comfort food on a Saturday night at its best. Well guess what I having for lunch tomorrow. I think I probably got through a 3rd of the portion serving it was so huge. Another friend popped by and we shared the Gunpowder Coal Roasted Chicken Wings. Well, dont be alarmed with the word gunpowder. It was perfectly spiced and not hot at all but filled with flavour. You obviously can choose how hot you want it. If anyone knows Seelan Sundoo well, you will know, its one of those places, even though they have a menu, you could always ignore it and tell them "what do i feel like" and it will be done. So, in my opinion, for the best Indian food in Cape Town, its worth the drive.
When a place gets very busy, very quickly, you know they’re doing something right. And that’s exactly the case at Sundoo in Sea Point. This award winning restaurant is your must-visit Indian Eatery in town. The waiters and managers are on point with orders, knowledge, and just going the extra mile for their customers. When you visit Sundoo, you don’t just visit for the food, but for the entire experience that comes with it. We tried the chicken wings and mini chicken rotis to start the evening, accompanied by a cocktail that was just right, after the first few bites we knew every meal was going to be jam packed with flavour. And what a feast! I had the lamb curry in mild, and my partner had the prawn curry in hot. With a feast before your eyes, Sundoo really bring out the red carpet for every customer that comes through their doors! Ensure you make a reservation at Sundoo for your next Indian eat-out!
Sundoo Seapoint never disappoints, service is great, staff are friendly, food is great. Best curry I have ever had. Great to go for a meal, or just to have a couple snacks and drinks.
What can be said about Sundoo Indian Tapas that hasn't been said a million times already. Staff are friendly and attentive, food is simply just amazing. Such a cozy ambiance. If you haven't been here before, you should definitely try it out.
