Your reviews for Moyo (Pier Bar)

Moyo on the Pier is without question Durban’s best place for sundowners. Its position, décor, friendliness of staff, music and general ambience cannot be matched anywhere. However, this wonderful experience is consistently ruined by the very worst service I have ever experienced anywhere in the world and I have travelled widely.
The typical Moyo on the pier experience is this:
On arrival you find a table and sit down. You wait. You wait some more. You notice that waitrons are dashing backwards and forwards looking incredibly busy but nothing seems to be getting done. You wait some more. Eventually, in exasperation you flag someone down and place a drinks order. You wait some more. Waaaaaaait. Eventually one of you goes into the bar to try and find your waiter. No-one remembers taking your order. You place another one. Wait some more. Eventually your drinks come.
If you should be foolish enough to feel like a second drink the same procedure applies.
Variations on the above are the norm and when I say norm I mean every single time. There are days when after a hard week at work I make the conscious decision not to go to Moyo because it is just too stressful having to literally wrangle drinks out of the waitron staff.
