When Liam Tomlin first introduced his tapas-for-two concept to Bree Street, he helped change perceptions of what fine dining was all about. After all, the food tasted as good as a fancy meal but instead of white tablecloths there were benches, and instead of perfectly portioned plates for one, there were tapas that needed to be divvied up between two.
Now that he’s taught us to share, Liam Tomlin has expanded his Chefs Warehouse concept to Constantia with Chefs Warehouse Beau Constantia – and, at the end of November last year, to Franschhoek with Chefs Warehouse at Maison.
On the menu: the most glorious tapas for two for R700 (or R350 per person), plus a glorious wine farm setting. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the magnificent dishes you can expect.
