We had a lovely meal at Truffle - my steak was perfectly cooked and the dessert was decadent. The layout of the restaurant with its double-triple volume structure makes the upstairs and front area of the restaurant feel stark and uncomfortable as it gets quite cold. We did have a bad experience with the manager on duty who welcomed us into the restaurant and then proceeded to treat his wait staff with such disrespect - and to do so in front of us, even trying to make us complicit in his mockery of the waiter - was appalling. Truffle has a very long way to go in terms of professional management and treating their staff with respect and kindness. What we witnessed was inappropriate and heartbreaking. That said our waiter was wonderful and had in-depth knowledge of the menu.
