The food didn’t live up to our expectations. The kiddies chicken goujons were bland, the sea bass was dry & even the prawn meat lacked flavor. The ambiance & service almost made up for it with live performances, active waiters & a generally hip crowd. I loved the fact that for such a trendy place, it’s actually very kid friendly. My boys were star struck when J walked up to us to say hi...
Pleasantly surprised as I'd seen poor reviews. Lamb duo was very good. Thick lamb chop perfectly cooked and flavourful. Shredded lamb neck presented in a cylinder also good but a little dry and on the bland side, could do with a richer sauce in production. Delicious jus, crunchy vegetables with rich caramelised onions and beetroot (especially liked the all too rarely seen Brussels sprouts) and a special mention of a fantastic gratin dauphinoise. Would rather have had the parsnip roasted than in a puree but all in all a great looking plate and enjoyable. The place is a bit sparse and cold, and, with glass all the way round, a bit lacking in decor and ambience. Great service from an attentive and helpful waitress.
Had an awesome birthday lunch on Sunday. I LOVED the vibe! And having J'Something present made it even more special! The 'Something Idols' was super entertaining. AND The food was delicious!!
Unfortunately the service is a bit on the slow side
The food was terrible. Chicken strips we ordered off the kiddies menu were so spicy it was barely edible even for an adult. Bass was over seasoned and served with ice cold peas and undercooked potatoes. Corn fritas were the worst...first they were raw and doughy so we sent them back...when they came back they were dry and came with barely of any of the other accompaniments. Overall disappointing especially considering the price.
