What can I say about Joni and her amazing team. Always greeted with a smile and a huge hug. From George her amazing Manager to the waiters and waitresses you ALWAYS get the best service and attention with the utmost professionalism. The food is 5 star, there is not one dish I have had there that I have had a problem with. From their Beach Garden Salad .....to die for, to their steaks, prawns, roasted pork belly to their amazing deserts. I would highly recommend this amazing restaurant which is for me by far my favourite.

As a late Valentines lunch, my husband and I visited Mundo Vida yesterday for a full three course meal. The breathtaking views from the beautiful contemporary restaurant overlooking the Umdloti beach in combination with the cool relaxing atmosphere makes it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of our busy life. The speedy service from the warm, welcoming and friendly waitresses; together with the most exquisite and delectable food made our visit to Mundo Vida the perfect eating spot. My hubby and I started our afternoon sipping on cocktails whilst admiring the panoramic views from the deck. I enjoyed a pinna colada whilst my hubby had a cosmopolitan. The drinks were made with sheer skill and passion and made every sip worth while. We had the famous duck spring roll for starters which certainly lived up to its raving reputation! The duck was cooked to perfection whilst the spring roll encapsulating the pieces of duck had the perfect crisp. Good food and drinks were certainly on our agenda this afternoon. For mains, I had the prawn and calamari and my hubby had the chicken and prawn combo. I must commend the chef for cooking the prawn perfectly. It was not over cooked nor under cooked but prepared just right! My hubby's mains also looked pretty darn amazing and I was tempted to have an occasional taste here and there, and oh boy, it was definitely worth it. The chicken was delish! We finished our evening with the signature Oreo cheesecake laced with Milkybar.. I'm not one for desserts but when I tasted this, I had no choice but to indulge in every bit of the piece of heaven laying before me, including the edible flowers!! :D I would definitely recommend Mundo Vida to anyone wishing to enjoy beautiful food and transporting views in the most complementary tranquil setting. We cant wait to return to enjoy our next meal, next time under the starry moonlit sky which im sure will be just as special! :)

My family and I have been there numerous times and as always, there was great food, great service and the beautiful view just adds that little bit extra!!! I had the Jalapeno Sirloin with veg and shoestring fries.........My steak was cooked to perfection and the cheese and jalapeno sauce just oozing with flavor!!! Will definitely be back

Just ate here this afternoon, have visited many times but we will not go back. Three reasons: I understand and accept this restaurant has two sittings but the owner put such pressure on us to order our main course - " have you decided yet, I will come back in 2 minutes, when we said we would like some more time she says I will come back in 5 minutes Secondly we could hear the chef calling the orders through the closed doors, we had chosen to sit inside but surely this is not right, destroys the ambience. The food was good but not outstanding. We were more than prepared to have a long relaxed lunch so we felt we constantly being pushed to finish and leave. In fact when we left both the senior waiter and the owner, barely said good bye.
