We had high tea at the Granary Cafe. It was a magical experience. We had a newborn baby with us and were seated in the library area with breathtaking views, beholden from comfortable sofas. Coffee and tea were served in unusual and beautiful crockery. The high tea was immaculately presented with the pastry chef explaining each item in person. The food was lovely, with the only criticism being tough pastry on the savoury pies. Otherwise, the balance between savoury and sweet was good. They were awaiting clotted cream from the supplier and we were hastily brought some halfway through the service. The general service was good and we'll be sure to return to try out the lunch/dinner offering.
