A group of ladies who eat regularly were there today for lunch. This is a somewhat iconic venue in the area and the menu, pub grub as expected and known to a number of guests at the table. However the front of house service appeared dis-organised with all waiters serving all tables. This may be due to the lunch service being really short on customers. If drinks were ordered they were certainly received quickly. However, the food was so slow I offered to cook for the chef. I am not sure if the kitchen service is deliberately slow to promote the sale of drinks, which was not obviously done by the staff, but I became bored with the whole outing due to the long wait on food and having to order additional drinks which I did not really want. The service interaction at times was a bit loose and flippant. Disappointing.
