I had high hopes when I saw the authentic Dutch bicycles parked outside the entrance. Inside it is a really sweet little cafe, but not quite the luxury destination it claims to be. Although thoughtfully done, the interior feels a little sparse and the beautifully designed, but too-light-to-be-practical, skinny-legs tables jump in the opposite direction as you pull up a chair. My not-so-hot lemony chicken sandwich was, well, stone cold. Although the menu does not state this fact, it is meant to be served this way, but I think it would have been way nicer if it was hot and made to order, rather that straight from the refrigerator and stiff as a dummy. Especially on a cold winters day. In all fairness, my lunch-partener loved her steaming hot mushroom parcel, served with red rice. Maybe I just had order-envy? The coffee was on the money served in Italian cafe-style brown cappuccino cups. For this I will return.
