The Other Side Restaurant at Monaghan Farm

The Other Side was very disappointing. Apart from being the only table of four in the entire restaurant on Friday evening staff where clearly more interested in the football on TV (probably because they were bored as all hell). We had drinks in the reception area only to be hurried along as the kitchen was due to close at 8pm! No wonder no-one else was there. Food was unremarkable with the only item being a steak with hollandaise sauce. Order medium rare came to us as well done or at a push kind of pinkish. Stale miserable chips, measly cauliflower and beans. One of the party had fish cakes which repeated on her terribly about an hour after dinner. Kahlua coffee was nuked and took about 20 minutes to cool down before we could drink it. Overall an entirely forgettable experience never to be repeated. If the place is asking top dollar for meals then they need to get it right. Maybe they should not open for dinner and serve locals breakfast and lunch. My opinion "Don't bother going there"!
