Best waffles in SA. We take a drive to Strand, 45 Kms often to enjoy this little gem. All our visitors are treated to a waffle when they come to Cape Town and agree, they are the very best. Light and fluffy with friendly service. Never disappoint.

You haven't tasted waffles until you've visited the Belgian Waffle Shop, a much needed addition to Beach Rd in Strand. Homemade and authentic, these are waffles at their best, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside with a range of delicious toppings - the chocolate mousse and ice cream is my favourite.
The coffee is always piping hot and served up by a small and friendly complement of waitrons, many of whom have been with Evie (the owner) since the business opened.
The shop is run with Belgian precision, largely because Evie is ever-present, only taking leave when in low season, usually in June, when doors close for about three weeks.
The menu is small but the servings are decent, as are the prices.
