Food:

Fabulous South and North Indian curries in large portions offer outstanding value and great flavour. Try the prawn curry, lamb curry on the bone served with sambals – order cucumber raita, roti, mango pickle or lentil dhal as a side and settle in for a fine Indian feast. There are lots of good vegetarian options too.

Wine:

A good selection of tried-and-tested wines from R70–R120 a bottle, and a decent selection by the glass too.

Service:

A mature, informed, no-nonsense, old-school team of waitrons who have worked here from the start.

Ambience:

Recently relocated from Long Street, the restaurant is split over four interleading rooms with sparse Indian-themed decor and fabulous views over Kloof Nek and Table Mountain, so book a table at the window.

And...:

You get the best potato samoosas here. (BS, September 2010)
