Man'oushe

Food
The baba ghanoush is a favourite – but pace yourself, there are still man’oushe from the oven and the saj, with delicious fillings. For mains you can’t go wrong with chicken Jean – strips of chicken with olives, tomato and mint.

Wine
The wine list is small and reasonably priced. Or try a glass of traditional Lebanese arak.

Service
The quality of the food is matched by exemplary service – the servers are young, energetic and congenial.

Ambience
At night it’s a blur of activity, and the seating spills onto the pavement area.

After commenting to the waiter about putting out a blackboard to warn customers that nothing can be eaten there between 10am-12am, we and all the restaurant heard him say "These effing customers are hassling me about how stupid the kitchen times are!". This, while two tables (foreigners) sat down and got up again because there is nothing to eat!

Come on man!

The food here is absolutely delicious. Yes, the space is easily crowded, seating can be rare, and the service pace is slow; these are things all customers should keep an open mind about. Go with a willingness to bear with it, and you will be rewarded with quality and value for money. The owner himself is the Chef, which often counts for the slow pace, but also ensures quality. What may be the negatives that push Man'oushe's rating down, are all elements of a unique experience. I say make a reservation before arrival, sit back, and enjoy the feel of the space while you wait. Even if the noise and bustle is not your thing, the food will be well worth that wait.

Noisy. Service so poor, so poor that we left after we waited an hour for our starter Meze Platter.

Great atmosphere, tasty food, but no ways could I finish the portions. Thank goodness we shared - delicious and good value.
