At La Colombe, high cuisine that’s feather-light

Kudu tartare, hoisin dressing, kataifi crisps…butterfish Miso Yaki, carrot and ginger butter, langoustine sushi…cold chocolate and peach fondant, sour cherry sorbet…

If this sounds like your cup of haute tea, head to the beloved La Colombe for a taste of chef Luke Dale-Roberts impressive new Menu Gourmand.

According to Eat Out editor, Abigail Donnelly, who recently had the pleasure of sampling these delights, its food that is so delicate you barely have to touch it with the tip of your fork.

Other treats to look forward to include:

Poached St. Helena oyster with watercress cream and oscietra caviar (paired with Constantia Uitsig Method Cap Classique Blanc de Blanc Brut 2005).

Fricassé of quail, foie gras, langoustine and baby corn, miso and corn butter and smoked olive oil (served with Constantia Uitsig Semillon 2003).

Pan-seard loin of Springbok, truffle potato fondant, black cherry jus (paired with Waterford Kevin Arnold Shiraz 2002)

A full 7-course tasting menu with wine pairing is available before 8.30pm while a 5-course menu is served until 9.00pm.
