BICCCS is well-loved in Pretoria and is often packed with professionals grabbing a quick bite and freelancers working away on laptops while enjoying their coffee. They offer a range of sandwiches, wraps and snacks as well as bakery items which are truly delicious. The freshly baked croissants are crisp and buttery and are just perfect when enjoyed with one of their many coffees. In summer months (or anytime the craving strikes), enjoy their home-made gelato in interesting flavours like Liquorice Allsorts, rose water and pistachio.
Their coffees are excellent and are prepared using their signature BICCCS coffee beans which are 100% Arabica, certified organic and free trade. They also offer delectable milkshakes made from their daily gelato flavours .
The service is friendly and efficient. Staff are always at hand to offer you a re-fill on your coffee.
The restaurant has a very laid-back feel to it. Sit outside and enjoy the sunshine while having a quick coffee or grab a table inside to enjoy their baked goods at your own leisure.
Try their succulent rotisserie chickens to take home. They make a great lazy dinner when paired with one of their fresh ciabattas and a simple salad.

Bicccs Waterkloof had been a firm favorite of mine over the years. There was always a great vibe there, the waiters were friendly and Chef Forti always made us feel at home. I recently ordered a cake from there. The new male owner was very rude on the phone as well as in person when I collected the cake. Sadly, I'd noticed that the place had completely lost its personality as well...but the limoncello cake was as good as always. This week I decided to give it another try and this time ordered 2 cakes for a birthday party. My name and number were taken down (I had to repeat it several times). When I went to collect it on the morning of the party I was told that the Waterproof Heights centre had had no electricity for two days and that they were "really sorry" but my cakes had not been made. I had not be contacted telephonically in the week. The owner said that he wouldn't recommend that I buy any of the other cakes on display either (however they were comfortable selling these by the slice in their shop). He tried to shift the blame to me saying that I had not left my number so he couldn't contact me.
Bicccs used to be special but now woolies sell fresh croissants and chocolate twists, Alfie's sell divine Italian bread and there are a number of artisan shops in the Menlowood area for everything else....and Chateau Gateau sell amazing flash frozen cakes if you ever have a cake emergency!
Can't see Biccs surviving much longer if they don't up the ante...
