Best Quality Food, Perfect service & Sea View Location from the Bar Upstairs..... I love everything about joint, from staff, food, vibe.. really had a nice experience.

The Joint concept finds its roots and spirit in a restaurant nestled on the picturesque Beach Front, reminisce of uMkhumbane meets Durban decks. Boasting an impressive sea-view, the interior décor transports you to a time where beer crates and heaps of maize meal were the norm and chandeliers made of coke bottles.
The Lounge, a second level of the venue presents a close and comfortable setting where urban musicians and jazz aficionados hang around to listen to live music and inspired DJ sets till late at night around great drinks and food
The Joint promises an ethereal but familiar aesthetic where authentic Shisa Nyama goes hand in hand with a fine selection of artisanal meals and drinks + free Wi-Fi. There’s something for everyone in this popular tourist spot, simply waiting on you to lean back and unwind with the locals.

Though I wasnt too impressed with the food, I did enjoy the ambience of the restaurant. There happened to be a storm outside and we had a beautiful of the lighting over the ocean. I will definitely go back to give the food a second chance.

Can't fault the food it's good quality but the service is absolutely shocking. The 1st meal arrived within 15min and the the rest of the six others came all in different times almost 20mins apart. The waitress was not trained at all. Everytime we ordered something we had to keep on following up because the order was just not arriving. It's called a Jazz Cafe but you can't even speak to the person next to you because the music is too loud especially for a Sunday. It's a great venue and great food but you need to pay more attention to your customers and make some serious changes and train your staff about service.
