Part of the seafood restaurant franchise, Ocean Basket's V&A branch serves up the same delicious seafood menu as the rest. From calamari to the classic fish & chips combo, they've got it at reasonable prices.

  • What a terrible experience we had at the V&A Waterfront yesterday, 21 March 2018. We were a party f 4 and ordered the straight forward fish & chips, my fish & one other at the table were definitely off, it was brown & soggy, not firm white FRESH fish. We are not people to complain & send food back so we didn't do that but did inform the waiter that the fish was not fresh. Upon leaving we approached the manager (RAY), once again to inform him that the fish was not fresh & he had the audacity to argue with us - the fact that we ate what we could, paid the bill, tipped the waiter - he still ARGUED with the customer, insisting that the fish was fresh, had a stinking attitude about it . All he could have done was apologize and and ensure that the kitchen doesn't send out bad food. RAY, you should not be in a management position, you have no customer service skills and my family & friends will NEVER again support your restaurant. You DO NOT argue with your customer.

Lesson learnt: never eat or pay for food that is not satisfactory, don't feel bad about insisting on getting what you pay for simply because there are assholes like Ray.
