We arrived at this "farmstall restaurant" right next door to Mooiberge on R44 and had a light lunch at about 15h30. We had a feast indeed - friendly service, manager (owner), Kelly, very helpful and willing to please. The tomato pesto is brilliant. Will always be coming back! Well done Kelly! Liz - Debbie & Marie
Always great... Food scrumptious, staff friendly and helpful. Absolute gem in Winelands. Get in your car, go now!
I didn't even know this place existed and all I can say is wow! Everything was just excellent from start to finish.
What a splendid birthday function on a Saturday morning. Will definitely visit this spot again and recommend it. Great menu, good service and really accommodating. Thanks Kelly and team.
This has got to be our new favourite spot in the Winelands! Superb food, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere, what more could you ask for? Great selection on the menu - something for everyone. Will be back soon!
Wow - what a surprise on a very hot day with the mist struggling to keep us cool my husband and I shared 2 pizzas. The special of the day with duck, brie and cranberries was truly the best we have ever eaten. Although the caramelised onion, camembert and walnuts gave it a good run! The food, service and surroundings were so good we didn't even notice the temperature!
The food was E-mazing! The cheese cake was really to-leave-home-for. What a wonderful place for a snack.

Great meal and awesome service. Big variety on menu.
By far the best burger and baked cheesecake I ever tasted!
It was our first time trying out this little restaurant and what a pleasant surprise. I had the homemade chicken, leek and mushroom pie. Loved the hand cut fries! My boyfriend had their pizza special for the day with pan-fried prawns, chorizo, chilli, lemon, cream and fresh coriander. Yum, yum, yum! The misting system outside was great especially with this summer heat. Will be back soon!
Yesterday my mother, my boyfriend and I took my grandmother for lunch at the Farmers Kitchen.
The homemade gingerbeer and lamb shank pie were very nice, but the salad leaves were extremely sandy, to such an extent that my boyfriend had to send back the wrap he ordered (the new one they brought for him was fine). So I would advise you to ask for properly washed salad from the get go!
Afterwards my grandmother wanted to visit the restroom - what a horrible experience!
There was no toilet paper in either one of the three stalls, the basins were filthy, the floor was soaking wet and looked like it hadn't seen a mop or broom in ages. One of the girls that either works at the restaurant or farm stall came out of one of the stalls (which also had no toilet paper) and my mother confronted her about the unacceptable condition of the restroom, after which she unlocked a cupboard and refilled the toilet paper holders (why she did not do this as soon as she saw there was no toilet paper, is beyond me).
When we took the remote back to the restaurant, my mother informed the manager of the shocking state of the restrooms. He did say that he would address the girls that work in the farm stall (who are responsible for the upkeep of the restrooms), but asked her to also address them about it as he feels they don't listen to him...bad idea! After my mother calmly told them about our experience, one of the girls apologized and the others were extremely defensive and gave weak excuses like they did put in toilet paper in the morning and that patrons steal the toilet paper and fittings in the bathroom.
After the unsavoury experience my grandmother noted that there are so many willing unemployed individuals in our midst, why not appoint someone to supervise and/or clean the restrooms and implement some kind of roster to ensure that it is clean and tidy, with ample toilet paper at all times, not only early in the morning.
Needless to say, we won't go back very soon...
Delicious breakfasts, wonderful pizzas and exquisite carrot cake!
What an adorable little place! We enjoyed the food, the coffee, the view, the people and the décor. After my first visit there, I went back three times that same month. I would recommend one to go and try out their burgers, gourmet pizzas and red-velvet cupcakes - yum! It is also a lovely spot to have a small jamboree, whether it’s for a kitchen tea, baby shower or birthday celebration, the food will not disappoint
Everything I've had off the menu has been beyond delicious, but the French toast is a proper treat. Also try the hake and the cheesecake (the latter may cause you to break into song).
Really enjoyed our breakfast. I had the Breakfast Pie - awesomely good! A keeper for sure! Loved that we were greeted before we even stepped in through the doors - a first for us.
I've been there so many times and the food has always been great. They make the best peanut butter milkshakes and amazing coffee.
A delightful cosy place to enjoy really wonderful tasty food. Well worth a visit.
Visitors from the UK, staying with friends in Belville, Boston and stopped on our wine purchasing in the area for some lunch, what a fantastic find, the food was fantastic, (real homemade chips) and the service was excellent, really looking forward to going back again before we return to the UK.
The best coffee and food in the area. If you haven't eaten here, you should!
The Farmer's Kitchen under the caring and meticulous eye of Kelly is a true gem! The pizzas are slight twists on classics and leave you wanting more! We held an event with them and all our guests were well looked after and are still raving about the service and food! Kelly went above and beyond to organise a wine tasting or two! A place to be, to relax, to be in love, to have a quick meeting or to entertain the girls for that overdue lucheon! Farmer's Kitchen, quality and quintessesially quaint, pop by!
