Baobab Cafe and Grill (Menlyn)

I've been to Baobab on two occasions, both dates. The decor is contemporary African and the ambience on the opulent side without being off-putting. Baobab sells itself as a family restaurant and on appearances alone, you'd be hard-pressed to believe them. Trust me, it really is child-friendly. The waiters are attentive and eager without being overbearing. The menu is a carnivore's delight. On both occasions, my partner and I had steaks with the accompanying sauces, of which there is a wide range. Delicious. Cooked to order. (Okay, once they got my order wrong but it was briskly whisked away without complaint and I was offered a complimentary cappuccino for my pain and suffering.) Perfect venue for a date or a family dinner.
