The Hennessy Sazerac

Hennessy cocktail — In 1850, Aaron Bird of the Sazerac House Bar in New Orleans created this iconic cocktail. To taste it is to taste the culture that only exists in the Big Easy.

Ingredients

62.5 ml Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège

1/8 oz Absinthe

12.5ml Simple Syrup

5 Dashes Peychaud's Bitters

Garnish: Lemon Twist

Glass: Rocks

Method

Add Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège, simple syrup, and bitters to a mixing glass with ice and stir until chilled. Strain into a rocks glass that has been washed with absinthe. Garnish with a lemon twist.
