Valentine’s Day restaurant specials in Durban

From candlelit dinners to lazy picnics, here’s where to treat your significant other this Valentine’s Day.

The Grill Room & Ocean Terrace Oyster Box Hotel (Umhlanga Rocks)

For the entire month of February, you can treat your loved one to a three-course breakfast at The Ocean Terrace (R700 per couple) or afternoon tea at The Palm Court (R500 per couple). Or book the Stay, Love, Retreat package, which includes breakfast with oysters, a three-course dinner, a rose petal turndown and “A Love Story” coffee book. The Chefs’ Table (Umhlanga Rocks)

Spoil the one you love with a four-course lunch or dinner at The Chefs’ Table on 13 or 14 February. Cost is R795 per person and limited seats are available so booking is essential. For lovebirds who prefer to celebrate at home, The Chefs’ Table is doing Valentine’s Day Hampers for R1,175 for two. A vegetarian option is also available for R975 for two. Bookings close at 5pm on 8 February, so get clicking!

Havana Grill (North Beach)

A very special Valentine’s dinner awaits you at Havana Grill. Starters include cobb salad  and cheesy garlic prawns; for mains, choose between a 300g fillet, Asian-style roasted pork belly, lemon parmesan chicken piccata or sole thermidor; and for dessert, dig into a choc chip & peanut butter ice-cream sandwich, chocolate brownie, blueberry panna cotta or banoffee pie.
