After 13 years of visiting, this was our worst experience yet. My wife’s Roasted Butternut & Beetroot Salad arrived with just two tiny cubes of butternut, no sunflower seeds, bland dressing. The chef admitted that the kitchen had run out of prepared butternut but served the dish up anyway. My Pork Belly was dry, tasteless, and topped with inedible leathery skin despite the chef’s assurance of crisp crackling. Sides were equally disappointing—baby-food texture sweet potato, apple sauce straight from a jar. We left most of the food uneaten, declined the “free dessert,” but were still made to pay full price. After years of loyalty, we won’t be back—tradition can’t excuse this decline.
