Four of Durban’s Eat Out star restaurants are teaming up for a collaborative lunch series, and it kicks off this July!

Chef Mathew Armbruster of The Chefs’ Table, Charlie Lakin of Meraki by Charlie Lakin, Chef of the Year Johannes Richter of The LivingRoom at Summerhill Estate, and Deon Kemp of Tyler’s are each contributing one course to an exciting four-course lunch. Each chef will bring their signature style to the table, which should make for an intriguing meal.

This is the start of a rotating series, with each restaurant taking turns to host – an ongoing culinary conversation between four very different KZN kitchens. Each of these restaurants has built its own following and approach to food, so bringing them together offers a chance to experience four distinct perspectives in one sitting. It’s a solid example of chefs supporting each other while doing what they do best.

All four restaurants currently hold Eat Out star status, a recognition for those that demonstrate culinary excellence and consistency. These chefs have proven themselves at the highest level of South African dining, with Johannes Richter being named Eat Out’s Chef of the Year for two years running.

The first lunch in the series takes place at The Chefs’ Table in Umhlanga Rocks. Seating is limited, so you’ll want to book soon!
