Arugula Bistro owners aim to open crowd-funded nose-to-tail restaurant

Arugula Bistro in Bellville has built up a loyal following over the past five years. Now, Anouchka Horn and Neil Swart have set their sights on a new goal: a boutique restaurant in Cape Town’s CBD serving a changing menu of nose-to-tail dishes.

Called the Belly of the Beast, the envisioned 20-seater restaurant will be an intimate space where Anouchka and Neil can offer a more personal fine-dining experience with wine pairing.

To get their project off the ground, the restaurateurs have set up a crowd-funding page with Thundafund. Funding options include advance booking a table at the restaurant, cooking classes, burger specials, as well as big ticket items like year-end functions and weddings at the restaurant, once it opens.
