David Higgs and team unveil first Pantry By Marble standalone location

Fans of Marble Hospitality Group’s convenient, high-end grocer have much to look forward to as the group is set to open its first standalone Pantry By Marble store in Hazelwood, Pretoria, towards the end of the year.

A product of the pandemic and the lockdowns that it brought with it, Pantry By Marble was born to fill a niche, making high-quality restaurant food easily available.

Now, the brand has reached a significant milestone by opening its first independent store and customers can expect a seamless fusion of takeaway, retail, deli and supermarket experiences.

“This site is the perfect location for our next store, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring Pantry to Hazelwood,” said Gary Kyriacou, Dino Constantinou, David Higgs, and Irene Kyriacou, partners of Marble Hospitality Group. “Pantry has become a labour of love for us, and this next phase allows us to evolve while staying true to the quality, convenience, and innovation our customers expect. Expect the best of Pantry Rosebank with some fresh, new surprises!”

A one-stop shop for fresh produce, artisanal cheeses, premium meats, baked goods, gourmet pantry staples, and handcrafted pastries, the new space will also offer customers access to a selection of freshly prepared meals, sandwiches, and salads, as well as Pantry’s much-loved restaurant-quality takeaway options, including pizza, Prego’s, and burgers. The popular soft-serve bar will also be there to take care of everyone’s nostalgic sweet-tooth needs and Donut Wednesdays will stay, making sure customers get their fix of freshly made pastries.

Location, location, location

Opening in the Old East Precinct in Hazelwood, a development that caters to a broad audience, Pantry By Marble will solidify the district’s status as Pretoria’s premier food and lifestyle hub.

“We’re incredibly excited to introduce Pantry to the Hazelwood Precinct,” said Atterbury Group CEO Louis van der Watt. “This addition aligns perfectly with our vision for a vibrant, community-driven space that blends the best retail, dining, and lifestyle experiences.”

This year is set to be a big one for Pantry and we’re excited to watch its journey.
