Dedicated Belgian pop-up opens in Parkhurst

Joburg beer-lovers are in for a real treat. A pop-up bar named The Belgian Beer Café opened this week at The Blank Bar on 4th Avenue in Parkhurst. Three mega Belgian beer brands – Hoegararden, Leffe and Stella Artois have joined forces to bring you a singular Belgian beer experience.

Belgian brewers are known for creating sublime drinking experiences with beers that have real complexity, making Belgian beer incredibly popular. Stella Artois in particular, a Belgian pilsner, was first brewed by Brouwerij Artois in 1926, made to be enjoyed as a Christmas beer (in the European winter).

In addition to great beer, The Belgian Beer Café pop-up will feature fun entertainment like quiz nights, book club events and live DJs. Check out the Facebook page to find out more about each event. (On Spring Day there’ll be an extra special festivity where you can welcome the new season in true celebratory Belgian style.)
