Domino’s Pizza just launched a wedding gift registry and it is equal amounts insane and genius

For many years wedding gift registries have solved the problem of what to get the newly hitched, but what if the registries themselves are lacking? Well, Domino’s Pizza just nailed that one, too. With its new dedicated website, dominosweddingregistry.com, the chain is offering a selection of eGift card options for the happy couple to spend to their pizza-loving heart’s content.

Business Insider reported on the launch of the Domino’s site on 8 February, and it should surprise no one that several couples have already registered for their happy-day helping. It works rather simply: betrothed pairs sign up, create their wishlist (topped by a quirky message like “Our marriage will be built on the strongest foundation there is: golden-brown pizza crust” or “We’re more than soulmates. We’re slicemates”) and the rest is up to their guests. Choose an eGift card, compose a personal message for the two and you’re set.

The best part? Domino’s has thought of every situation that could be solved with pizza – which, really, is every situation. One card is titled “Cater the Bachelorette Party”, which is $60 to make the bride’s last night out as a single lady even better; another is “Dancing with my Slice” for $100, but promises to be worth it: “When Domino’s shows up at the end of the reception it’s going to be EPIC”. The winner, though, has to be the “Post-Honeymoon Adjustment to Real Life”, because which newlyweds aren’t going to love you for giving them more time with each other and less time doing the dishes?

Just make sure the pizza boxes stay far away from the wedding dress.

The registry isn’t available in South Africa yet, but you’ll be the first to know once it is.
