Housed in the old stables that date back to 1767, the restaurant highlights the stable’s unique heritage in the most refined and relaxed yet sophisticated way. Both the original stone floor and bespoke blue Dutch tiles are complemented flawlessly by the modern finish within the restaurant’s key design elements.

Whether you’re looking to do a wine tasting in the picturesque tasting room or enjoy a bottle of wine out on the beautifully manicured terrace, Groot Phesantekraal is just the place for you.

The wine range is a true reflection of the uniqueness that can only be found in the Durbanville Wine Valley. The cool Atlantic Sea breeze produces the most unique delicate wines with complex flavours. Not only does Groot Phesantekraal highlight this uniqueness, but they also celebrate it with exceptionally careful winemaking.

The kitchen is open Tuesday to Friday 8am – 3.30pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 9am – 3pm. The tasting room is open Monday to Friday 11am – 5.30pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 10am – 4.30pm. Reservations are recommended.
