Capital Craft (Pretoria) ?

Hump day is better known as Burger Wednesday at Capital Craft’s Centurion and Menlo Park restaurants. For R135, you get two gourmet burger meals all day, every Wednesday. And at Centurion, the special also applies on quiz night.

DK Burger (Pretoria) ?

If it’s Tuesday, you better BOGOF at DK Burger. Confused? BOGOF stands for buy one get one free, which is what you can do at this gourmet burger bar located in Waterkloof Ridge. The special runs until 25 September.

Big Easy (Durban) ?

South Africa’s legendary golfer Ernie Els (hence the name) owns this restaurant, located in the Hilton Durban. Get a taste of its laid-back vibe on a Monday, when the Burger & Brew special runs. For 170 you can enjoy a gourmet burger and chips, served with a 500ml draught beer of your choice.

Robson’s Real Beer (Point) ?

The beer is amazing but so is the food, and if you plan your week carefully you can enjoy it all without breaking the bank. On Tuesday nights (from 17:00), the Local is Lekker special offers two cheeseburgers and two 340ml craft beers for R99. The Burger and Beer special that runs on a Wednesday from 17:00 includes selected burgers and a 500ml draught, glass of wine or soft drink for R89.

Cape Town

Devil’s Peak Taproom (Salt River) ?

Not only does it offer one of the best mountain views, the Taproom also offers two burger specials during the week. Every Monday, all burgers are half price while on Tuesday you can get a Cheeseburger and 340ml Devil’s Peak Lager for R75.

Mondiall Burger Bar (V&A Waterfront) ?

Mondiall’s 2-4-1 winter special is valid until the end of September. From Monday to Friday, between 12noon and 2pm, you can buy one burger and get one free. Sadly, the Double Double Burger is excluded from this offer.

The Village Idiot (CBD) ?

The Long Street hot spot has renamed Tuesday to Two’s Day and with good reason! It offers two Pulled Pork burgers, topped with homemade coleslaw, and a jug (you read that right) of standard lager or pilsener for R130. And, to tempt Mother Nature, The Village Idiot also runs a Rainy Days special. For R90 you can pull in to escape the rain and enjoy a Boerie or Veggie burger with a glass of house wine or Budweiser. This deal is also available on First Thursdays.

Winelands

Bossa (Stellenbosch) ?

This Stellies eatery invites you to unwind after a hard day – something that is always necessary on a Monday. The good news is every Monday you can get any burger, served with fries and onion rings for R59. The bad news? This special excludes the Baconator Devastator.
