Massimo’s to open new takeaway restaurant in Hout Bay

Hout Bay residents can look forward to a new takeaway joint set to open in August 2015. The team from much-loved pizza spot Massimo’s started building a 1.7-metre wood-burning oven today as part of developments for their new restaurant, Mimmi To Go.

Owner Massimo Orione and his team decided to open Mimmi To Go as a speedy option for diners that will offer the same quality but will be dedicated to takeaways only. The new shop will be located more centrally, opposite the Chapman’s Peak Hotel and just a 100m stroll from the beach.

Fans can expect a menu of Italian fare at slightly lower prices than at the original Massimo’s restaurant – but everything will be cooked in the wood-fired oven, from Massimo’s trademark pizzas and baked lasagne to roasted artisan sausages. There will also be a selection of meats, cheeses and a few desserts on offer to complete the experience.

Massimo is also planning a delivery service in Hout Bay and Llandudno in the near future to make it easier to get your Italian food fix.
