Posticino opens third branch in the Cape Town city bowl

Heads up, Cape Town pizza lovers: The well-loved pizza and pasta restaurant Posticino have officially opened their third branch in the heart of the Mother City.

Jack Gasparre and Enrico De Siena – the well-known duo behind the popular Italian eateries in Sea Point and Hout Bay – have extended their brand to city bowl with their latest, smaller spot in partnership with Ciro De Siena. The new pizzeria is located on 173 Buitenkant Street (next-door to Deluxe Coffee) is open for early dinners – sit-down or takeaway -, seven days a week.

What’s on the menu? Expect the same Italian favourites that team have become famous for. Think thin-crust, wood-fired pizzas topped with everything from black mushrooms and garlic to calamari and mussels or salami, mushrooms, olives and asparagus. If you’re not after the famed pizza, the pasta list features over 20 kinds of sauces as well as cheesy, baked versions.

Posticino Express is now open from 4pm to 9:30 daily and is also available on Mr D. The restaurant currently doesn’t have a liquor licence, so BYOB is encouraged.
