Misty Hills Romantic Dinner (Muldersdrift)

This stunning hotel is offering an exceptional five-course menu this Valentine’s Day for only R545 per person, which includes a welcome drink as well as a bottle of house wine per couple. Begin with an amuse-bouche of tuna with beetroot salsa and avocado on a cocktail bruschetta, and then choose between beef carpaccio or a creamy lobster bisque for starters. Cleanse your palate with a watermelon and gin crush and then tuck into the main course with the options of chicken supreme on mushroom and vegetable linguine; lamb cutlet with peppadew mash, asparagus and mint, and citrus jus; or go for the seafood platter with an assortment of grilled tiger prawns, calamari tubes, salmon kebabs, potato wedges and more. For dessert you can choose a decadent trio of chocolate mousse or a romantic heart chocolate cake.

Misty Hills Picnic and Movie (Muldersdrift)

Also on offer at Misty Hills is a romantic movie and picnic for two. For just R555 per person you will get a welcome drink, a bottle of house wine per person and get to cuddle up and watch a romantic movie while enjoying a sumptuous picnic. Enjoy a salad jar with sliced red onion, penne pasta, boiled eggs, cucumber ribbons, greens, smoked chicken and chickpeas. The savoury selection includes avocado wrap with salmon, cured ham on French baguette with grilled peppers, rocket and Dijon mustard, coriander and Cajun ground chicken cocktail sliders, homemade crackers and condiments, and delicious nibbles like biltong, homemade paté, crisps and pretzels. Casalinga are serving up a delectable three-course meal for R495 per person at their stunning restaurant. They have a variety of options for starters, mains and dessert, so there is definitely something that will please both you and your partner. For starters, options include mussels tossed in an organic heirloom tomato and garlic sauce served with a crispy bruschetta and freshly chopped parsley, or oven-baked brie cheese with a cranberry reduction and rosemary extra virgin olive oil drizzle, finished with organic micro greens and edible flowers, among others. For mains you can go for Chicken Involtini, which is a pan-seared chicken breast stuffed with pulled mozzarella and prosciutto served with organic farm vegetables and creamy Napolitana mushroom sauce, or if you’re not a meat eater you could go for the mushroom alfredo, among others. End off the evening by indulging in an Italian chocolate cake with a berry coulis and whipped mascarpone, or go for the homemade strawberry cheesecake or mini pineapple chiffon cake with passionfruit reduction. If you’re wanting to truly have a dining experience to remember this Valentine’s Day, then book a table for you and your partner at TANG restaurant in Sandton. Enjoy a complimentary glass of Mirabelle Rosé upon arrival and choose between two mouth-watering set menus. Menu 1 goes for R1000 per person and menu 2 goes for R1500 per person. Start off the evening with oysters and truffle shiso salsa, and dim sum with spinach and cream cheese. Then move onto starters, which include options like tuna tataki with onion ponzu and citrus soy, rock shrimp with spicy creamy sauce, or spareribs with plum. For mains, both menus have options of robata local fillet served with triple-cooked fries, or salmon teriyaki with wasabi mash and shimeji mushroom. The third main option on menu 1 is a half Peking duck with hoisin sauce, while the third option on menu 2 is black miso cod with a den miso sauce. For dessert choose between a salted caramel fondant with Tahitian vanilla ice cream and black sesame sauce, or a sticky banana toffee pudding with flambéed banana and vanilla ice cream.

This modern high-end restaurant in Sandton is offering a delectable three-course set menu this Valentine’s Day, which includes an option of two delicious cocktails on arrival. For starters you have a choice of West Coast mussels with pear, ginger and chorizo, or go for some classic arancini with pea, carrot and shiitake mushrooms. For mains there is something for everyone with choices like sustainably sourced linefish with rosti, vanilla beurre blanc and carrot; free-range chicken peri-peri with aurum fries; beef or peppercorn fillet with truffle, onion and moussaka dauphinoise; or a delicious wild mushroom risotto for the vegetarians.
