Food

The Table at De Meye is a small family-run restaurant in scenic Stellenbosch that will make you feel as though you’re at home enjoying the best home-cooked lunch ever. The farm-style sharing menu is ever-changing, so you never know what you’re going to get until it arrives on the table.

They focus on highlighting seasonal produce and farm-to-table dining, which supports the local farming industry and showcases the amazingly fresh and wholesome produce found within the Winelands area.

To kick the dining experience off, the bread course and starters arrive together – warm sourdough with curry-spiced aïoli, and homemade gnocchi with roasted Brussels sprouts in a creamy white wine sauce.

For mains, slow-roasted lamb shoulder is served with all the trimmings: crispy potatoes, classic French-inspired green beans, a beetroot salad topped with feta and a roasted pumpkin wedge served with pumpkin puree and an almond pesto. It’s hearty and filling, perfectly suited for a farm-style lunch shared between loved ones.

Dessert could be the caramelised banana tarte tatin, hot out of the oven and topped with homemade vanilla ice cream. The deep caramel flavours are deeply satisfying while the ice cream is perfectly smooth and creamy.

Drinks

They have a small wine offering mainly featuring wine from the De Meye farm.

Service

Service is welcoming and hospitable, with servers making sure everyone is well taken care of.

Ambience

Whether a sunny or rainy day, The Table at De Meye is the ideal location.

In summer you can enjoy a lavish lunch under the trees on their iconic lawns, and in the colder months luncheons are served fireside inside the cosy farm-style restaurant.
