De Eetkamer has become one of my favourite eateries in Cape Town and makes the trip to Stellenbosch well worth it. The service and attention to detail was flawless, friendly and warm instantly making us feel at home. The menu boasts a variety of dishes and flavours sure to please every pallet. It’s worth mentioning that even though De Eetkamer serves small plates, these dishes are not small by any means with portions being generous and hearty.

It‘s clear that a lot of thought and attention goes into each element of every dish. This eatery delivers big flavour and texture, putting their own De Eetkamer spin on classic and familiar dishes. The food was very enjoyable, De Eetkamer has definitely become one of Stellenbosch. favourite restaurants.

Drinks

Wine lovers will not be disappointed in the selection of wines, with many guests beginning their evening by visiting the wine wall selecting their preferred wines for the night with the assistance of the waiting staff and chef.

Absolutely every need and want was tended to, The waiter had knowledge of the menu and wines which was outstanding.

Ambience

The styling and soft lighting of the restaurant compliments the location and the food presented by the chef and the wall cushioned seating eases you into the evenings culinary experience. All these elements seem to remove you from any idea of time as a simple dinner easily becomes a 4 hour affair.
