Sample top South African artisanal beer at The Craft Revolution festival

Anti-mainstream beer lovers can dive headfirst into their favourite golden brews as The Craft Revolution hits Gauteng on Saturday 26 April 2014 at Emerald Resort and Casino in Vanderbijlpark. This artisanal alcohol extravaganza showcases the talent in South Africa’s craft beer industry and brings brewers and fans together.

The interactive event will allow both beer fundis and ‘beer-ginners’ to sample beers produced by smaller micro-breweries, including Darling Brew, Jack Black, De Garve Brewery, Devil’s Peak Brewing Company, Copperlake Breweries, Aces Brew Worx and Cape Brewing Company. Gourmet street food will be on sale to pair with the stouts, ales, malts and pilsners. (Find out which food tastes better with beer.) The little ones can look forward to kids’ activities and there will be live entertainment too.

All food and drink will be sold using the festival currency of Castros. Each Castro is worth R5 and can be purchased at the event in denominations of R100 booklets. Entrance costs R70 (which includes a beer glass) and festivities will run from 1pm to 10pm. Purchase your tickets here and visit the website for more information.
