Important information regarding the Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Restaurant Awards on Sunday:

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the venue has changed to SunExhibits Centre, GrandWest in Goodwood.

The format of the much-anticipated event will remain the same, but please take note of the new directions and shuttle times below.

Directions and parking

Directions once inside GrandWest:
The entrance to the SunExhibits Centre (formerly known as the Magic Castle) is behind the ship, which is to the left of the main entrance. If you are not taking advantage of the shuttle services, parking is in front of the venue.

Getting there yourself

Driving from Cape Town
Take the N1 towards Paarl. Get into the Sable Rd/Century City Drive lane on the left of the road.
Take the Goodwood off-ramp which turns sharply to the left and doubles back towards Goodwood. This becomes Vanguard Drive.
Continue straight on Vanguard Drive, past the Airbase on your right. After crossing straight over Voortrekker Road, take the off-ramp to the left (before the bridge).
GrandWest is on your left.

Driving from Stellenbosch
Take the R304 to the N1 towards Cape Town. Follow N1 to Jakes Gerwel Drive/M7. Take the N7 exit from the N1. Continue on Jakes Gerwel Dr/M7 Drive. GrandWest is on your left.

Taking the shuttle from Cape Town
Secure parking is available at the CTICC, parking area P1.
Shuttle departs from at 11:30am from Convention Square (between The Westin Cape Town and CTICC).

Directions to CTICC, P1:
Heading out of Cape Town, take the right slip lane off Nelson Mandela Boulevard.
Heading into Cape Town, take the right slip lane off Nelson Mandela Boulevard.
Alternatively take the left slip lane into Walter Sisulu Avenue, turn left into Convention Square, Lower Long Street and left at the circle towards P1.

Shuttles will be parked between The Westin Cape Town and CTICC.

Your parking ticket will be exchanged for a prepaid ticket as you arrive at the shuttle pick up point, however we encourage you to use a taxi service to get to and from the shuttle.

Taking the shuttle from Franschhoek
Secure parking is available at the Huguenot Memorial Museum, Lambrechts Road, Franschhoek. Shuttle departs at 11am sharp.

Return shuttles will be available on the hour from 6pm until 10pm.

If you haven’t yet confirmed your preferred transport for the day, or if your transport plans have changed, please let us know on awards@eatout.co.za by 5pm, Wednesday 11 November 2015.

The menu will include a wine pairing, so we encourage you to avoid driving and rather take advantage of the shuttles and/or a taxi service.

What to wear

The dress code is Sunday best.
Think elegant country chic, not black tie.
