World-renowned chef Luke Dale-Roberts of no. 1 restaurant The Test Kitchen will open a brand new pop-up concept at The Saxon, in January next year.
Luke will still be very much involved at his Cape Town restaurants The Test Kitchen (named no. 28 in the S.Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants earlier this year) and fan favourite The Pot Luck Club, but will be spending some time at The Saxon every month.
The news comes in the wake of the announcement that former Chef of the Year David Higgs will be leaving Five Hundred at The Saxon in November to open up his own restaurant in Rosebank.
We wish both chefs and their teams all the best in these exciting ventures.
“The Saxon is an iconic hotel and the perfect home for us to set up a new creative space. I’m excited to venture into the Joburg market and see how diners there react to The Test Kitchen style of food,” said Luke.
