Food

Yeasty aromas of freshly baked goodies behind the glass counter entice the locals back again and again.

Some of the regulars also come from a long way to indulge in signature breakfasts with all the trimmings like The Blouberg (perfectly poached eggs, crispy bacon, oven-roasted tomatoes and creamy polenta) and The South African (eggs any way you like them, boerewors, home-made tomato relish, cheddar and corn pap).

Or go for the beautifully cooked classic eggs Benedict. Fresh ingredients, homestyle cooking, classic flavour combinations and seriously good value are a winning formula. You’ll also find favourites like vetkoek with curried mince, as well as plenty of salad, sandwich and omelette options for vegetarians.

If you fancy brunch, try one of the yummy burgers – the house Blouburger with bacon, cheddar and caramelised onions is a winner – or layered sandwiches, such as pulled pork, avo and peach chutney on ciabatta.

If you’re too full for dessert, take home a selection of home-baked cupcakes, scones, pies, cheesecake and buttery quiches.

Drinks

A small, reasonably priced wine list by glass and bottle, as well as great coffees and traditional shakes.

Service

Attentive, friendly staff are on the ball and serve you pronto.

Ambience

Cosy interior with a relaxed beachfront vibe. Try to reserve a window table inside or outside on the small stoep with a dreamy view of Table Bay.

Best for…

All-day breakfasts and desserts in a traditional seaside tearoom with family and friends.

Café Blouberg is a wonderful venue with unmatched views! Their selection of foods and beverages are great for a smaller establishment. That being said -the food is absolutely delicious and hearty! You get good value for money. The staff help create a warm and inviting atmosphere and are attend even though they are often full!
The food and service are always excellent.
Been coming here 1-2 times a week for the last year or so. Most Amazing time for me is early in the morning. I get welcomed every time, sometimes with my cup of delight in hand already as it's my usual or on its way ordered already. Give the Cafe a try as it's dishes are well portioned, different and tasty, reminder if it's not on the menu just ask for them to change instead off scrambled have an omelette or so white, ask if have banting bread etc. Simply, EAT your Heart out.
