Even though breakfasts are madly popular here, their baked goodies are legendary, which makes tea times equally popular. Fabulous little cakes, freshly baked scones with preserves and cream, lemon meringue pie, baked cheese cakes, all fabulous to look at and even better to eat. There is a health option with muesli and yoghurt, goji berries and honey so you needn’t feel too guilty. They have a small selection of local wines not badly priced.

Of course the view—Table Mountain seen across the bay in its classic pose, something people come from all over the world to see , is thenumero uno attraction but outside seating is limited and much in demand. The interior is cosy and welcoming with the fragrant smell of baking everywhere. One can take some pastries home to prolong the experience.
