Second visit. Second time they got our order wrong. Plant based for health, going on 8 years. Hereditary atherosclerosis. Ordered avo on toast, mushrooms and spicy beans. Came topped with cream cheese and sneaked in cooked pig sausages with the beans. Why a restaurant would do things like this is completely beyond understanding. Waiter was informed vegan. First visit a vegan salad came smothered in feta. Not the waiters/kitchen staffs fault. Cannot trust the staff to serve what is ordered because there is unnecessary additional items added in everything. 2 years and still doing the same stupid things. Unfortunately these are managerial failures (which points to bigger issues) and unfortunate having to leave a negative rating.

Cafe Mayfair is our favourite coffee shop. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and the staff bend over backwards to accommodate special requests. The team make a point of learning the names of their customers, as well as what we like to eat, which goes a long way towards securing loyalty and return visits. The food is excellent and never disappoints. My favourite meal is the Eggs Benedict, closely followed by the Halloumi and Avo Smash. Portions are generous and the coffee is fabulous. We recently celebrated my daughter's 21st at Cafe Mayfair - where else?! Brad Parsons and his team are simply the best!

We are always treated so well, even our 18month old enjoys it at Cafe Mayfair. The staff are super friendly and attentive. Management is around and checking if you are being looked after. Kiddies are catered for not only with a good high chair, but sneaky sweet snacks (you know exactly what I’m talking about, or you will when you go there). But most importantly, the food is DELISH. From freshly squeezed fruit juice and creamy dreamy milkshakes, to taste sensational meals, and a great variety of them at that. Don’t forget to check out the specials menu, or ask a waiter, it’s worth it. Don’t forget the deserts, oh my, you will not be sorry.

BEST in Hillcrest ! My husband and I always know when it's time to go out to breakfast Cafe Mayfair is the only choice ! We are yet to have lunch as Sunday mornings are our 'go-to' but if their burgers are half as good as their other menu items, they will be out of this world ! can't wait to be back soon guys !!

I'd love to just write a review about Cafe Mayfair burgers but everything there is top quality and royalty service no matter what. Food is always so different and creative with the best flavours and tastes ! Go team !
