The signature dishes at Coachmans Inn have become braised duckling off the bone, with a creamy green peppercorn sauce, flamed in gin and garnished with lychees. Along with a mango and prawn hors d’ oeuvre done with a light curry mayonnaise which is unfortunately only available in season.
Disgraceful! If you like pouring your own wine all evening, getting a completely different meal to what you ordered, lack of communication between management and staff resulting in your date being given a complimentary creme brûlée when she has informed the waiter she is lactose intolerant; then you should really check out this once 'great' and now 'has-been' restaurant.
An absolute neighbourhood gem. The staff are fantastic - knowledgeable and friendly. The owners come by to tell you the specials. The food was amazing and the portion sizes were just right. All in all fantastic place for a romantic meal or a cheery family dinner.
