I really like the restaurant's service and tge food was outstanding! If you want a to eat good food come to exhibit!
I almost don't want to write this review for fear that it gets so popular I won't get a table on a whim every again, but this one is too good not too share and I believe in giving credit where credit is due. In my opinion this is the best Greek food in Cape Town and as it's actually cuisine I'm very fond of, I don't say this lightly. The staff are warm and accommodating. Food is consistently excellent. The mezze (halloumi especially), gyro, lamb chops, creamy tzatziki and bughasta dessert are always winners and our favourites. We eat here often and it's a real neighbourhood gem. Completely unpretentious and utterly charming.
Don't let the 7 Eleven on the corner put you off - Marika's is one of those under-rated restaurants, unpretentious and simply delicious. It needs more than just a shout out. Incredible Greek food, you simply can't go wrong, and on a beautiful day you can sit outside with views of the mountain, and the sea. I can recommend the Calamari (fried), Arni Sto Fourno, Lamb Giro (which is enough to share between 2 ladies) and the Garides Yiouvetsi. Have baklava and halva for dessert - too good not to try them both!

Marika's, tucked away in the City Bowl never disappoints. Such a delicious menu of Greek specialties, great starters and mains, and good service. We love it.

An unassuming entrance leads up to this local gem - a great menu of Greek meze and mains plus some delicious homemade desserts, not the usual sweet Greek treats. Owner-managed, casual warm and welcoming - we'll be back.
