Marco Mauri, Italian cheese and gelato maker of note, and his family open their farm for lunches staring his authentic Italian products.
Pizzas are divine topped with Marco's melty mozzarella. Splash out and order the Dama Bianca or Rosa- featuring Burrato, a luxurious hand-made cheese prized for it's buttery texture. Order a platter of home made cheeses and cured meats with bread or a panino sandwich. Freshly picked leafy salad serves the table. On Sundays Mama cooks the sort of Northern Italian meal she'd serve to her family. Some dishes rarely offered outside of Italy might be Pizzoccherie-buckwheat pasta with potatoes, cheese, spinach and sage butter, or vitello tonnato, slices of cold veal dressed with tuna flavored mayonnaise, crispy breaded veal cutlets, and house made tagliatelle with salmon and cream. You can choose gelato in fabulous Italian flavors like tiramisu and pistachio served in cups or cones or enjoy a sundae.
Not licensed but serve orange or green juice. Coffees are well-made-order after your meal in true Italian style.
The farm setting is relaxed and peaceful. Picnic table seating shaded under the house awning or colorful umbrellas is as comfortable as your own back yard. Kids can amuse themselves in the play area complete with a slide and swings. Walk into the ice cream shop and choose your flavor and or takeaway a container for later.
You are welcomed and well looked after by the family who are glad to answer questions about the food and the farm. They take pride in their offerings and are happy if you're happy.
Best for lazy afternoons with the whole family.
