Nice old restaurant everything went smooth until the “SQ” bill comes R200 a prawn a tiny shrimp claimed to be a jumbo prawn. What a joke!! When I complained, I got the look up and down (how dare you complain) Cape Town usually have good restaurant that are not sharks, it’s restaurant like these that need to be taken a notch down off their throne.

We went to La Perla for our 1st Anniversary. (26 Sep 2015.) My husband landed up in hospital on a drip from food poisoning. I phoned management and sent an e-mail. I have had no response and find your non response ruthlessly rude and inappropriate!
And for the sky rocket prices - never again!

Absolutely disgusted by management at La Perla.
Called on Thursday to make a booking outside on lower deck- arrived on Friday and was told bookings do not apply to drinks only- can you clarify where this is stated?? No one asked when I made the booking.
Provision was made nonetheless for us to sit outside.
At 7pm we were told abruptly by "Mr Luigi" that we need to move inside.
He did not allow us as customers to even speak, constantly interrupting.
He is the most unaccommodating rude manager I have EVER come across.
I have frequently visited this restaurant but will be sure to spread this terrible service across all platforms possible.
